Biography

Barbara Frigo is Associate Professor of Structural Mechanics at the Department of Structural, Building and Geotechnical Engineering at Politecnico di Torino. She holds her Master’s degree in environmental and Land Engineering and the Ph.D. in Structural Engineering at Politecnico di Torino. Her research interests include snow and ice mechanics, avalanche formation and release, , snowpack stability, interactions between snow flows and structures to design structure subject to mountain natural hazards and defence works.
