Porcheddu Archive
The Porcheddu Archive collects original documents and drawings from the Porcheddu Company, a pioneer in the introduction of reinforced concrete in Italy thanks to the Hennebique patent. The archive consists of 385 dossiers documenting 2600 reinforced concrete works carried out according to the ‘Hennebique System’ between 1895 and 1933. Notable projects include the grain silos in Genoa (1899-1901), the Risorgimento Bridge in Rome (1911), and the Fiat Lingotto factory in Turin (1916-1922).
