CONFERENCE - EDUARDO TORROJA: The Cultural Legacy and the Connections with the Italian and Turin School of Structural Engineering
The conference titled "Eduardo Torroja: The Cultural Legacy and the Connections with the Italian and Turin School of Structural Engineering" is held on the occasion of the presentation of the book "Eduardo Torroja: The Man and his Legacy" by the author Pepa Cassinello. It also aims to recall the close ties between Eduardo Torroja, a major figure in the art and science of construction in the twentieth century, and the Italian fields of construction science and structural engineering. Special attention will be given to Torroja's intense interaction with the Polytechnic School of Turin and eminent figures such as Gustavo Colonnetti and Franco Levi, as well as the connection between Torroja and Pier Luigi Nervi, another major international figure in the field of structural design and conception.
