DISEG at the European Researchers’ Night
On Saturday, 26 September, DISEG, the Department of Structural, Geotechnical and Building Engineering at Politecnico di Torino, will take part in the European Researchers’ Night with three activities designed to bring the public closer to the world of engineering through hands-on experiences, creativity, and play.
From 10:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Viale Mattioli 39, visitors will be able to take part in:

  • Spaghetti Bridge: structural engineering through play, creativity, and pasta – Stand 73, an opportunity to discover the principles of structural engineering by building and testing small-scale models made from pasta and glue.
  • Small Actions, Big Engineering – Stand 104, an interactive activity to explore how collaboration, design, and technology contribute to the development of engineering solutions.
  • PoliToMars: a Colony on Mars – Stand 44, a journey into the design of a self-sufficient settlement on the Red Planet, exploring energy, structures, greenhouses, resources, and architecture.
An opportunity to meet DISEG researchers and discover first-hand how engineering helps us imagine and build the future.
