Reading Architecture. Drawings and Photographic Perspectives
From 8 to 25 October 2026, the OttoFinestre cultural space will host the exhibition“Reading Architecture. Drawings and Photographic Perspectives. Casa Curtatone by Sergio Jaretti and Elio Luzi through the Building Drawing course at Politecnico di Torino."
The exhibition presents the outcomes of an educational experiment developed during the 2025/2026 academic year as part of the Building Drawing course in the first year of the Bachelor's Degree Programme in Building Engineering at Politecnico di Torino, under the scientific coordination of Prof. Francesca Maria Ugliotti.
Designed by architects Sergio Jaretti and Elio Luzi, Casa Curtatone becomes the focus of a journey exploring architecture through different languages of representation. Photographs, original project documents, graphic and technical drawings, digital survey outputs, and physical and digital models offer multiple interpretations of the building, its spaces and its relationship with the urban context.
The exhibition brings together drawing, surveying, photography and digital tools, highlighting how representation can go beyond a purely descriptive function to become a critical means of understanding and interpreting architecture. The initiative also contributes to the knowledge and enhancement of Turin's architectural heritage from the second half of the twentieth century.
