Caianiello Award to Dr. Marco Martino Rosso for the Best PhD Thesis in the field of Artificial Neural Networks

IWe are proud to announce that Marco Martino Rosso, post-doctoral researcher at DISEG, has been awarded the Caianiello Award for the best PhD thesis in Italy published in the last 3 years. The award was presented on June 5, 2025, in Vietri sul Mare during the 32nd International Workshop on Neural Networks (WIRN 2025) organized by SIREN.
His thesis, titled “Machine Learning Perspectives in Structural Health Monitoring - From traditional operational modal analysis to intelligent-based methods”, was supervised by Prof. Giuseppe Carlo Marano (Politecnico di Torino - DISEG) with international co-supervisors Prof. Giansalvo Cirrincione and Prof. Giuseppe Quaranta.
The award was granted by the STEERING COMMITTEE and the INTERNATIONAL ADVISORY COMMITTEE of SIREN and presented by the current president Prof. Anna Esposito in the presence of former presidents Prof. Eros Pasero and Prof. Francesco Carlo Morabito.
